Temptis is an AI powered Tarot Reading App

Consent to the Privacy Policy

By using the Temptis application, you consent to this Privacy Policy and to the processing of your data as described below. Your continued use of the app confirms that you have read and understood how your information is collected, used, and shared.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

Temptis may ask you to provide optional personalization details such as:

  • Preferred name
  • Gender
  • Zodiac sign

These do not need to reflect your real identity — they simply define how you want the app to address you. You may also choose to set a profile photo for visual personalization. This photo is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.

Automatically collected information

Temptis may collect non‑personal, technical data such as:

  • Device type
  • Operating system version
  • App usage patterns
  • Crash logs
  • Anonymous analytics data (via Firebase; see Section 4)

No account required

Temptis does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal identifiers. All personalization data (name, gender, zodiac sign) is stored locally on your device and is only transmitted temporarily during AI processing (see Section 3). We do not permanently store user‑provided data on our servers.

AI Data Processing

To generate personalized tarot readings and astrological insights, Temptis sends certain information to our secure servers hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in the European Union.

Data sent to our servers

  • Preferred name, gender, zodiac sign
  • Selected reading preferences (e.g., reversed cards, arcana type)
  • Any questions or prompts you enter for a reading

Data NOT sent to our servers

  • Device identifiers
  • Precise location
  • Any other personal identifiers

How data is handled

  • All communication uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Data is transmitted only when generating a reading.
  • Data is used solely to process that specific request.
  • Data is not stored permanently — it is discarded immediately after the response is generated.
  • GCP infrastructure in the EU provides enterprise‑grade security and complies with applicable data protection regulations.

User consent for AI processing

Before sending any data to our servers for the first time, Temptis will display a clear notice explaining what information is transmitted and how it is used. You must provide explicit consent before any data is sent. You may withdraw consent at any time in the app settings, which will disable AI‑powered features.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

Temptis uses the following third‑party services to improve app performance and stability:

Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)

Collects anonymous usage data such as:

  • Screen views
  • Feature usage frequency
  • Session duration
  • Device type

This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)

Collects crash logs and diagnostic information, including:

  • Device model
  • OS version
  • App state at the time of the crash

Google processes this data in accordance with its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Data Security

We take all reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

  • All data transmitted between Temptis and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Our servers run on GCP infrastructure in the EU with enterprise‑grade security.
  • We do not permanently store personal data on our servers — it is processed in real time and discarded immediately.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • When required by law
  • When necessary to process refund requests for in‑app purchases (in which case anonymized data may be shared with Apple)
  • As described in Section 4 (analytics and crash reporting)

All third parties are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and provide data protection at least equivalent to the standards described in this policy.

Data Retention

Temptis does not permanently store personal data on its servers.

Personal information you enter remains on your device.

Data sent for AI processing is discarded immediately after generating a response.

Firebase analytics data is retained by Google in aggregated, anonymized form.

You may clear all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app or clearing its data in your device settings.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent for AI data processing at any time
  • Clear all locally stored data by deleting the app or clearing app data
  • Contact us with any questions about your data

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted within the app with an updated revision date.
Your continued use of Temptis after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
For material changes, we will notify you within the app before they take effect.

Disclaimer

By using Temptis, you release the developers from liability for any claims relating to the content of the app.
Temptis is not intended for users under the age of 16.
